I was in Austin for a very quick trip over the weekend and I thought I'd enjoy some subjects I rarely get to shoot. That may be changing, though. My family and I may be moving back to Texas to be near family...we will see. All shots taken in or near my parents yard. Thanks for looking. Many more pictures from my trip can be seen on my flickr account.

Am I being too picky in wishing you had panned down to catch the tip of the leaf? I love it anyway, but just a thought, since the missing tip is the second thing I notice about the photo.

I was not too quick on the draw for you, Justin! This second one is amazing!

Todd,

I actually have a few of those leaf pictures where the tip is visible, but I decided on this one for some reason. Thanks for looking and commenting.

#3 can go bye-bye, but the plants and flower shots are some of the best I have seen from you. Good work, and maybe you should move to Texas, it was very kind to you.

Great shots, Justin! I really like #1 just the way it is. I like how the DOF really puts the focus on the drops in the center. What is the flower in #2? Very pretty.

Morris,

Thanks for looking and commenting...is #3 really that bad? I really did enjoy taking these shots...Texas has a beauty all its own. Thanks again.

Jamie,

Thanks for looking...I'm not really sure the flower in #2...I'll have to ask my parents and get back to you. Thanks again.

#2 and #4 are really nice, like Morris #3 doesn't do much for me. These are really nice macro images though, some of the best I've seen you post on this forum!.

Great detail in the water drops! Nice color as well.

I like #s 1 and 4. The droplets are interesting and I especially like the red lines on #1. The clarity of the center of #4 is what draws me into it too.

Love the limited DOF on #'s 2&4!

I really like some of the close-ups with water droplets on the leaves/plants etc.
