Elk in Yellow Field
I'm sure many of you read Tim E's Cloudland Journal (yeah, I admit it, I'm a reader too) and may remember from his last post that Elk have not been observed in that new field of yellow flowery stuff (sorry Don) down in Boxley Valley. I also remember talking to several folks at the gathering about trying to get an elk shot in that field, but I don't think any of us saw them in there either. Well, I was driving back home from the Richland Creek area Saturday and found three that are probably feeding in there until the river level falls a few feet. I guess that yellow stuff will do in a pinch...

Sweet shot...I like the way you left the fog up at the top also.

Tim was saying that they may have planted the red clover in the fields. I love your field of buttercups ( I think that's what they are called) with the elk. I'd like see the fields if the clover comes up.
