Blue Tailed Damselfly
40D, 180/3.5, Benbo 1 + BH1
ISO400, 1/350 @ f8.
ACR5.3, resize + sharpen CS4

Hi,

As I said a varied Bank Holiday... not the first Damselfly posted (that honour goes to Matt) but my first of the season, the Large Red Eyes refused to play ball, but this Blue Tailed posed for a while.

Background was a nightmare here as the wind was blowing quite strongly and the damselfly kept moving around bringing all sorts into the frame.

All the best

Not out yet here - you lucky devil you

Cracking light and a great BG - nice capture :wavey:

Hope you have some Dragons this year

a lovely shot Phil and a variant I don't normally see too many of. Plenty of Large Reds on my local patch but nothing else as yet. I really expected to see some other damsels and a few four-spotted chasers by now. Fingers crossed we see a few more than last year.

Very nice indeed and the BKGR shows no sign of being a nightmare.

Oh yes very nice Phil, glad you got something from the day. I went back there yesterday and there were even more about than Monday, but it was way too windy!

Great image - love the detail and background. A few around here starting to appear and saw a couple of large reds this morning.
