Corn Bunting singing pt II
Canon EOS 1Ds MKII, 600mm f4 IS, 1.4x conv, f5.6, 1/125, ISO 800, RAW, RSE, CS2. bean bag on car window ledge.

Hi All,

This was taken a bit earlier than my first post, so hence a slighty different view point, light was just picking up, but techs of 1/125 at ISO 800, were not great.

Thanks to all who commented on my first post, really means alot to me when I get positive feedback

All comments welcome

Regards

Rob

Another good one Rob... can detect some noise in the bg but that is minor... am I seeing a pink/magenta cast though? Plus it looks like a slight upping of the contrast might help.

(just tried and if you pull the shadow slider down in levels it improves nicely)

Really enjoying these (there was an image in WPoY a couple of years back that was a category placing)

Cheers Phil, had a slight tinker, although the sunrise gave it a redish hue, so hard to get it looking right !!!

that's a nice one Rob, I think the bird's breath really adds to the image. I can also remember the similar image in the WPOTY. The background does look a bit noisy but easily solved.

Very nice Rob,

It could be used as a covert cigarette advert ! I like the rim lighting around the edge of the bird very much.

Cheers

Very nice shot. Think if it was mine i'd darken the base down a little, once you notice the highlights, it does draw the eye.
