a bunch of water today, too bad the wind from the falls had everything blowing around so much.
I also went to Pam's Grotto, I tried to get across Haw Creek but that was not happening today there was a big camper at the campsite. I imagine they are stuck there. Haw Creek did look like it could be fun a kayak though http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthewkennedy/3507425053/
Nice composition, Matthew. It's a shame about the wind. I really like the shots of Lower Longpool. I've never been to the area, so I'll have to put it on my "to do" list. I'm really jealous about all the rain you've been getting. I would try to take a quick weekend trip up there, but I've got too much going on. I'll have to be content with the pics you guys will be posting.
Yea Bryan the water is crazy high right now, too bad you can't make it up here. I am a little mad at myself for coming home early and not going to see more water.
Last time I saw Longpool it was a solid icicle! Looks good with running water! Nice shot Matt..I like the way you included the flow past the big boulders...
if you had a big lifted 4x4 with huge tires, and were crazy, you could have probably got to Pack Rat today. I imagine you could get across by tomorrow or Friday at the latest.
Thanks everyone. Yea Ed it is amazing what 10 inches of rain in a few days can do for a waterfall. A Little Rock photographer named Don Dailey has some shots and videos of Longpool falls from Saturday on his blog. He has more water than I did. http://dondailey.com/blog/
