Imagine My Surprise....
...when I looked out a window of our home here in Steamboat more than a week ago and there not more than 10 feet away on our patio stood a very large Moose. By the time I went to the garage to get my camera she and a companion had moved on to browse on a stand of oak next to the house. I did get a photograph and I know the background sucks but the Moose was already giving me the eye and I didn't want to push my luck.

Well you do live in Moose and Squirrel Country. Want I should call Boris and Natasha?

Awesome, looks like you'll get some great viewing and photo ops over time.

That must have been quite the eye-rubbing, what the -----, surprise sighting! You mean you didn't go out and try to pet it or get a picture of you with it?

Do you live inside the city limits? or on the outskirts?

Certainly can't complain when wildlife like this appears on your doorstep, I look forward to seeing more of this guy when he wanders by again!.

We've never been able to see one of these. Pretty cool to find one in your backyard.

Wow, that is awesome. Background may be undesirable, but this will be a nice one for your memory book, I'm sure! Nice catch.

Wow!! I cant believe you keep your camera in the garage Rod!!! Is it part of the power tool collection ??!

...and too cool about the Moose paying you a visit. I bet you have quite a few Moose shots from the Steamboat area.

Reminds me of my moose sighting last year, except I didn't have a home to hide in  Keep your camera closer for the next time these guys swing by for a visit.

Rene---I keep my camera in my car, which was in the garage....maybe 20 steps away from the window where I first saw the moose, and yes, it is my power tool. Sure did leave some big hoof prints in our lawn...
