Backyard Tulip
I visited Kitsap tulip fields but made the mistake of showing up on Saturday during the height of the festival. Unbelievable traffic jams and unbelievable number of people IN the fields. SO, I am submitting this photo taken in my back yard in Yakima. Jim Gavin

Kitsap tulip fields? I'm familiar with the ones in Skagit County, as well as Woodland and Woodburn down in Oregon, but I've never heard of any tulip fields in Kitsap County. Details, please?

Excellent detail in the petals but it could use a boost in contrast. I would also bump up the saturation a bit.

James, Details: I obviously did not pay attention to the details. Skagit it is or was. Mark: boost and bump-great suggestions. Jim

Lovely! The curves of the petals are really nice. I agree with Mark, and would add that it looks a tad crowded on the sides.

Boosted and bumped a bit. Not sure if too much or not enough. Tad crowded? I agree. Not sure what to do about it though. Jim

Really good on the repost! Nice subtle changes but very effective. Great shot.

The tight comp can be fixed in PS by extending the canvas a little bit, especially on the left and right imo, and then painting in the background. Should really enhance this image by giving the lovely tulip a little more room to breathe.
