took this shot last year on my local river 40d Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS USM Lens 1/250 f5.6 ISO 400 hand held

It looks a little soft and burnt out on the breast to me, and its quite a tight crop

Hi Mike,

You've captured a nice pose - I have no idea how that branch is holding him! i agree its a shame the whites are blown and it does look a bit soft. Still a nice shot though!

I do like the pose you have captured Mike especially with the one foot in the air.
Tis a shame its on the soft side though.
