Red Fox Cub
I have been working on foxes for the past three weeks as I have found an earth with 7 cubs in the most beautiful of settings. To be honest I have been up against it as I really wanted to get them in the bluebells before they went past their best but the cubs have not been playing ball and were only coming out whilst it was dark. I get in position at 4.00 but by the time the suns up they are back in the den. This morning was the first chance I have had of any pictures.

Canon 1DS MK11, 500mm lens, F4, 1/15, ISO 400

Fantastic Danny! Very different bluebell shot

I think the cub could do with warming up just slightly, but overall an absolute stunner :toast: :toast:

Lovely shot there Danny, well worth the wait and the early rises I think, nice and sharp and I like the just oof bluebell on the right, as it defines the flowers. The bluebells colour looks very accruate indeed, something I find many other photographers have trouble with, maybe they use uv filters on their lenses

Cheers Guys

It is early days and now that I have them coming to where I want them I am hoping to get some images in better light. The last time I did foxes at an earth was 11 years ago and I am looking forward to spending the summer with this family, it is so rewarding and I already feel very humble.

Hi Danny,

Stunning shot, even more so at 1/15  . You really have captured that inquisitve look of a Fox. The OoF Bluebells give the image a lovely colourful frame, and give the sense of it's environment.
You've just raised the bar we all work to by another notch

Excellent work and a pleasing result for all your hard work and patience.

Thanks for sharing

Regards

Charlie  (11 days to the barbers  )

Hello Danny.

Excellent capture and the detail for 1/15 is superd.

No Bluebells for me, and I,m also having a lot of trouble with mine as well. One day they show the next they dont. But you are right its one of the best things I,ve watched in a long time. Will hopefully be spending alot of time with these, and look forward to seeing more of yours as well.

No comment, you could see over the bluebells... which species were they?

Super but agree the cub could do with just a touch of warming, but that is so minor....
