Brown Hare
Hi all

Another image from my hare project. It's been a huge amount of fun and very rewarding and I'll be a little sad when it comes to an end - I reckon of got about a fortnight before the crop gets too long.

One of the purposes of the project was to become more proficient with the 500mm with a 1.4x attached. I was never too confident with that combination previously and the sharpness of my images was always hit and miss (mainly miss!). Having used the set-up exstensively for six weeks now I'm ready to take on the world!

The barley field I'm working in is bordered on two sides by small wood and one patch of it is particlarly dark and I've been hoping that one of the hares would pose in front of it. This fella did and God bless him for it!

Canon 1dMkIII 500mm +1.4x f6.3 1/500 on beanbag / cropped to straighten image( on the original he looks like he's on Ski Sunday!)

Hi Simon,

Really like this one, the dark background is great and superb detail in the hare!

Cheers,

Lewis.

That's a cracking shot Simon! I agree that the dark background makes it really pop. The foreground grass looks a little saturated to me but that's down to personal preference. Wonderful image.

Excellent... that bg certainly makes a change and makes the hare stand out...

Very nice work on the hare, some superb detail but the foreground is juts to much for my personal tastes in terms of colour/saturation.

Kind regards,
