I'm back from Moab, UT after an amazing week in the high desert. For those of you who haven't been to Arches, Canyonlands and points thereabouts, put it on you list and allow plenty of time to explore. This is an image made in Canyonlands NP overlooking the Green River. I liked the graphic elements in this composition accented with the early morning shadows. Thanks for looking!
Wayne - glad you've returned and I hope we will see more images. Yes, the shadows make the picture more interesting and I like how well you have balanced the shot with the boulder, large vertical rock (hoodoo??) and I guess, a weathered tree.
Wayne, I echo what others have said. I will add, I like the depth in you photo, it just seems to go on forever. A great selection on your part. Glad you are back safely and I am looking forward to seeing more.
Nice to see some of your work from Moab, Wayne, looking forward to seeing more. Welcome back!

Thanks everyone, I liked the simple graphics of this image.
Ken, good observation ... it's 1,000 feet straight down on the other side of that rock. Another 1,000 to where the Green River flows. Being one who doesn't care for heights, I was (shall I say) puckering a lot when walking the rim looking for compositions.

I have a DVD of Steve Kossack's images from Canyonlands and none are any better than this one.
Did I mention that I really like this shot?

Great catch. The wood and it's shadow in the foreground lends a basal anchor to the landscape.

What a nice image and great light makes this special in my book. Also confirms a must see soon for us. Thanks for sharing.
