I like everything about this with one exception. The specular highlights on the cap hide the detail in that location. The composition is nice, if somewhat standard. The moss is great and the detail in the stem is well nigh amazing - but I can't get past the highlights on the cap. Maybe someone has some ideas on how to address that in the processing...?
I've found that the highlites on the cap are difficult to avoid even when using a polarizer...I've gotten so used to seeing them that they don't bother me any longer. I think I would be inclined to boost the color sat and the contrast just a little....looks a little flat on my (calibrated) monitor. Good detail, nice placement of the mushroom in the frame and f11 looks like a good choice for the aperture.
