Reynolds Hollow Falls
Made my way back to Tea Kettle Falls yesterday (Sunday). It was flowing pretty good but on the way out I stopped by this little falls.
The trail to TKF is covered with ice damage debris. Be prepared to take 2 - 3 times as long to get there as you normally would.

Very nice scene and capture Clayton.

That's about as much water as I've ever seen in this waterfall, and it looks great, Clayton! How did Teakettle look as far as ice damage?

Nice capture Clayton. I really like the rocks underwater in the foreground. I was thinking about heading to teakettle this Thursday.

Was the water level worth the effort? I was thinking hiking the old road might be better than the alternate trail.

Thanks for the kind words.

Bill -
Tea Kettle was just as tuff to get to, I ended up have to cross back and forth across the creek twice to get to the area.
The falls itself looked good. The opening has a few branches in it and there is a large limb is in the puddle that the falls makes. Need a saw to cut it into manageable pieces and then remove it for photo-ops.
I will post a picture of Tea Kettle tomorrow when my 24 hour ban is up.

There were still some nice columbines at the base of TKF but the wind was gusting and I couldn’t get them to stand still long enough to get a perfectly clear image before it began raining on me. Where was my Plamp when I needed it???

Ed –
I have not come down the old road before but that would be my next effort.
The trail from the field (parking area) along the creek has some major trees lying across it and several times I had to bushwhack around them. Plenty of scrapes and scratches this morning to prove it ;-)
Having not been on it before I do not know where it meets the falls. I did see a road bed where two creeks merge. If this is the same road then you will have to cross the creek once or twice to make your way back in to TKF.
According to Tim’s book it sounds like that road comes in at the top of the falls, if so there may be a way down to the base without having to get wet.

Otherwise, bring your waders.
