Red (kite) Alert Evasive Maneuvers
Taken at Gigrin last saturday, like kevin said conditions where not favourible , and light was harsh.
I tried to go for different shots this year, and hope you like this one. there was alot of fighting over nosh, more than last year. so it gave me more options and after a deleting session, i only have 50 or so shots i am going to keep out of 600 !!

C&C welcome.

Very different mark, light looks really bad, you have done well here capturing three of them, I like the beak open on the front one   :wavey:

Never seen a shot of red kites like this one before so well done on that score. Light was against you, though, but at least you captured something special.

The light was really awful judging by this shot, so congratulations on managing such a fine action shot in bad conditions.

Great timing Mark, the image feels liek a little puzzle, where does one bird begin and the next end! :wavey:

Hi Mark,

Great shot with loads of action going on!
I do feel that despite the conditions you could have done a little more in post processing so i hope you don't mind that i gave it a try..
Ofcourse i had to work with the low res JPEG file and an original RAW file would have been much easier to work on. In the low RES there is a lot of noise due to my post processing wich i could have eliminated with a RAW file.

I adjusted levels, curves, shadow/highlight, contrast, midtones, and added a bit of blue sky.. :jump:

also impressed with the blue sky. not sure how todo that.!! i will have a google.
Cheers
