Are there any Canon user's who would be prepared to give me the benefit of their expertise by way of a day's tuition. I'm prepared to travel and learn fast.

I seem to have hit a low point with my Canon 1D3 and could really benefit from some help.

I don't expect free tuition so I'm willing to pay an pre-agreed fee.

Thanks

Barry, You might be better served by asking a few questions about the items you are having trouble with so we can discuss them. No charge for dumb looks.

If you are having sharpness issues, look into using the microAF adjustment that is available on the 1D3 and now on the 50D.

Ed

I take your point, I plead "Guilty" The Canon 1D3 has with my calculation some 1500 combination Custom Function settings and being a trial and error fiddler I have lost track of what I've done.

I can reset to factory setting but what I'm seeking is guidance as too what settings I should use. By way of general standby.

Barry - Arthur Morris has created a guide to setup and use for the 1D3. It is $20, but probably worth it. If interested, check out this link: http://www.birdsasart.com/bn242.htm You will need to scroll down a bit to find the information. Be sure to keep reading one down as there is more information.

Morris' guides are VERY useful for someone with a relatively new camera . . . and even older!

Barry, are you in Milford KS right now? I don't have a 1D3, but I'd be happy to help out if I could, no charge necessary.
