That's not the official name, but it seems appropriate since it was the only tree around. Taken on the Skyline-Mill Creek Scenic Drive in Wabaunsee Co., fairly close to the doppler radar tower.
I love this tree, it's the subject of a couple of images taken a few years back. Mine were taken in winter with only brown grass in evidence. I like your take and the dreamy clouds that you were able to capture. Well done Angela.

A very nice image. I agree with Ed that the horizon seems a little out of plumb (although the tree is ok). That is probably just due to the lay of the land. My only suggestion would be to raise the horizon closer to the lower 1/3rd point. The land and tree are the strongest elements in the comp and ought to be given a bit more of the image.
Raising the horizon would be a good but I also like the composition the way Angela framed it. Perhaps getting a little closer to the tree might improve it but the sky is what makes this image IMHO.

With her 10 mm lens there would be no way short of jumping the fence to get the tree closer. Yes there is a slight CW rotation here but that is easily fixed.

It looks like you have enough detail to bring up the brightness in curves a little. Could just be my monitor.
Also, is the horizon a tad crooked or is it just the natural lay of the land?
Very nice, I like this a lot. Probably look even better with some fresh leaves.
