Jenny wren
Surprisingly the first wren I have managed to get a decent photograph of. A bit too big in the frame for my own tastes but cropped this way due to the mealworm feeder stick encroaching to the right of the frame.

Usual set up, Oly E-3, 300mm plus 1.4tc, tripod and some scrim netting

Always nice to see these little birds Mike. However the clutter I feel in the BG does detract from a good image, but can be easily corrected :wavey:

Difficult subjects to get - never still and always skulking in the undergrowth.

Personally, the BG doesn't worry me as it shows environment.

I'm not surprised it is the first time you have managed a wren, they are tricky little blighters to get in the open. I like this image, and think that the background twigs are fine.

Hi Mike
Missed this earlier. Yes they are hard little sods to do. I think the head turn and the twiggy background hasn't helped but better than a lot have. The branch out of the head is perhaps the most off putting but you can't win em all !
Cheers
