That's lovely Phil

I was photographing these over the weekend in Norfolk (there seems to be more of them than ever up there at the moment  ), but from looking at what I managed to get, I didn't get the exposure right all in more than 100 shots. Either the whites are blown, or there is no detail in the eye..... :toast:

I love these birds, some drop in occasionlly where I work but never for very long. The colours are lovely. Personally I'd chop a little more off the left and, it may just be the pose, but it looks like it's walking up-hill slightly.

When in the AM was this? The light is gorgeous.

Hi Phil,

Nice one! Pays to be up early! I agree about the slight rotation to make it level.

Cheers,

Lewis.

I really like this, difficult lighting done well, - very pleasing.

Hi Phil
like the waters colours, probably would crop a bit from the bottom and LHS to reduce the amount of water and place the bird more off-centre, but its a great image.

`Hi Phil
I like this one. Perhaps a tiny bit of gamma upping on the bird but not too much as to loose the CJ effect. very evocative.
Cheers
