OT - our "wild" deer
Yesterday we had 6-7 does with their last years fawns browsing around the yard. They took turns bedding down in the shade and generally munching all around the house area. They all took off except for this doe who struck a pose for me. She is looking down the road in the direction where the others went.

Here she is just prior to the first image. She scratched out a comfy spot near a pile of lumber, stretched out and dozed for a bit.

Here's where she was resting! Hubby is working on a deck under the pines and she walked up and appeared to supervise his efforts  I've never seen such tame "wild" deer before. Makes me wonder if someone else has ever hand fed her. Fun to watch

That's cool, Pam! Should provide many more opportunities in the future as well.

I liked your series. They are such delicate creatures. Nice work.

How are you ever going to get your deck done if your hubby keeps playing with the deer? :jump:

I know! He had to quit for a bit while she took her siesta. The wood he needed was behind her and he didn't want to disturb

Are you sure it wasn't the other way around?

And speaking of the other way around, is this your hubby's best side?

It's good to see you posting from paradise these days.

That is so cool! The only "wildlife" I get in my yard is squirrels

Very cool, Pam. What a sweet thing (referring to the deer, but I'm sure your husband is, too!)
Nice pics.

Neat images! Great oppurtunity to walk out your door and the wildlife is already there!
