Love the open space in this. The huge shadow makes the shot for me.

Agree with the comments thus far.. Stunning environment shot and very well done for taking advantage of the situation with great intent.

I don't always like shots where the subject is as small in the frame as this one, but it shows the environment well. A real stunner.

The long shadow makes it for me. Good 'grab shot'!

Lovely animalscape! Not a nit but more of a question, I wonder how this would look without the small piece of sky? Making a more white on white scene might work (or not all of course, just an idea)

Hi Jorne
Interesting question that I asked myself too. In the end I decided that the sky gave a little more context to the environment and a sense of scale. I think the repost gets away with it but I prefer the inclusion of the sky - others may disagree?

Cheers,
Chris

Personally I'd crop it 3:2 and have the hare on the bottom left third. Keep the sky, or as much as the crop will allow.

Like it though

Great shot as it is, as JM says it would have been absolutely stunning with the hare bottom left 1/4ish heading up the rest of the frame/mountain - easiier said than done in the heat of the moment

Real wild and cold shot,excellent.
I tried a week up there and came back empty handed a bit to much snow but as they say nothing ventured nothing gained but it must be very satisfying to get a result like this.

nice image, well executed. In terms of a different crop, perhaps a more of a pano but keeping the blue sky in there? Just a personal thing though.
