A few others here have shown some very good pheasant shots they got whilst out pursuing other species.
This is one I got while out looking for pheasants.
I'm pretty stumped as to what to do with this one. It's not really a wall hanger, nor is it really a good descriptive shot and it certainly doesn't fit the normal shooting magazine style.
Don't worry about what to do with it John, just admire it!!
This is easily one of the most appealing shots of a pheasant displaying I've seen - the wing blur gives the image an 'arty' quality.
Top shot.
This isnt just a bird picture this is a piece of art. I love the way the neck and head appear to be emerging from the blur of feather - this is real phoenix stuff - and set against that excellent background its just spot on. Hats off to you John!
Wow! I agree with all of the above. Interesting how we are our own toughest critics and sometimes just over think an image. This one is excellent.

I think it's excellent, On a personal note, I would like to process a little more to bring out what seems to be, a nice orange glow. This has loads of potential if your willing to give some time too it. It really is an excellent shot !

If it were mine (oh I wish!) I'd have another go at processing it - but I'm being super-picky really
