Painted Bunting
The learning curve has been steep and my delete button has almost worn out.

Previous advice has been implemented and even I can see an improvement Thank you for all the contributions.

Our garden has burst into avian life just in the past two weeks with plenty of colour of spring migrants. So I took a leaf out of John's book and set up my hide and sat and waited. The heavy duty head and tripod have made significant difference. My only question now is what appears to be colour change from what I see on my laptop in the resize to post procedure.

Canon 1D3 Canon 800mm f/7.1 1/160sec ISO 400 tripod

Critique Comments Advice please

Hi Barry. Generally when this has happened to me it's because I haven't saved the image for web presentation in sRGB format which is what I believe internet browsers read. If you use Photoshop, you can go to edit, convert to profile and select sRGB.

Hope that helps.

Nice shot by the way. :smile:

Much better Barry, but you still need to watch your shutter speed even with your new tripod kit.

Usually three things for the colour difference issues;

As Tim says your file needs to be converted to sRGB

Your Photoshop view "proof setup" should mirror the working space (ie sRGB) being used, same when printing you can simulate the print output by changing the proof set-up view to any custom profile being used, that way what you see on your laptop should be the same as what you are generating.......

For PS2 which I use, don't use the "save for web" saving command to generate the jpeg for uploading. I've never understood why but using "save as" and jpeg as the output file gives a far more consistant colour output than the "save for web" command - it should make no difference bu there seems to be some issue with the automation process.
