Snake and Toad (Enviro)
Thought i would post this as it seems to me to be a very lucky encounter for me(not the toad). I was out looking for Marsh Fritillaries but came across this seen. Didnt have a change of lens so had to make the most of what i had, its more of a snap shot but thought it was worth sharing.
Not 100% on the ID but thought it was a Grass snake, it was about 3 ft in length.

Your identification of the snake was right, it is a grass snake. An amazing shot, shame about the toad but that's nature...

A well captured image, although not ice I think it is important to show people what happens in nature !

Great bit of behaviour - Interesting that the snake seems happy to swallw the toad feet first.
