green island marsh
Shot this on a sunny calm morning. I kind of liked the reflection.

canon 40d tamron 200-500 out to 400mm

iso 400 f/8 exposure is 1/1600

Very nice. I particularly like how you managed to allow the bird (and its reflection) to stand out so nicely amidst all the potential clutter of this scene.

I'm wondering about a slight boost in contrast (and possibly saturation) here, just to give the image a bit more "oomph."

Nice shot Wally. I agree I like the reflection. Glad to see you are getting to spend some time in the marsh.

Very nice catch, Wally. The colors in the water are very nice. You must have exercised patience in getting such a clean shot off with all of the reeds in the marsh. The bird looks like it has enough saturation, but you might want to try and punching up the blue hues a bit to see if you can get the water to pop a bit more. Well seen!

Wally,

Nice capture taken at a place not at all well known. Green Island runs hot and cold for birds, but there always seems to be something worthwhile going on there - http://www.pbase.com/salty_one/image/100625931
