Fulmar Flyby
Was out on the cliffs today just practicing some in-flight shots with the obliging Fulmar. Like both Phil and Andy, I found the Greater OOF Fulmar on many occasions but this one wasn't to bad.. Maybe a little noise coming in on the sea..? They were so inquisitive that sometimes it was difficult to get them in focus because they were just to close!

Cracking Fulmar in flight shot Brett. Nicely composed, well exposed & nice details.
You dont notice the noise unless you look for it, all the attention is on the bird :toast:
I got 200 images of these in one day, all the in focus shots were in a poor pose & the greater oof ones were in a good pose. A very difficult subject & you have nailed it here. :toast:

Looks like your perseverance has finally paid off Brett. I haven't tried these yet, but have been told how difficult a subject they are  The noise isn't that evident on my screen, so well done.

Speak soon,

Fran :toast: :wavey: :toast:

OK so you nailed that one... I still prefer the greater OOF sub species though (because that is all I have ever managed to get  )

Very nice flight shot and great to see the upper side of the bird with just enough of a head turn to get eye contact...
