Detail and color are really extraordinary. Great pose too!

Another beautifully captured shot, Larry. My only nit would be a little more room behind his tail...

Thanks Daniel, he was very cooperative.

Thanks Bill. This is very close to full frame, it was the photographers fault. He was concentrating on getting focus on the eye.

Beautiful pose and very sharp. You have a very clean bg Larry, just add a little blank canvas on the left, and clone in the bg to add the room you need. Problem solved!

Thanks Wayne. I just wish I were good at the technique of blending. I would probably end up making the tail longer.

It's not too tough. Expand the canvas, paste in a little of the background and then blend it with a mask. Also warmed it just a little to remove the blue sky reflected in the highlights of the black feathers.

Did you see many rose breasted grosbeak? We had a couple dozen of them at our feeders for a week or two. Much more than usual.

Thanks Ed. I know the technique, my blending skills are limited.

We have had a couple of grosbeaks, can't get them to land on anything other than a feeder, not very pretty.
