One thing you are guaranteed on seeing in the Mediterannean regions is shrikes sat on electricity/telegraph wires. In this case it is an Iberian subspecies of the great grey shrike. This is a bit of a record shot as I just could not gain enough height to reduce the shooting angle.

Nice shot, but the bird is positioned a bit too central for me.

Very nice, little bit central as Sandra says, but nice to get him calling. The angle doesn't bother me too much, as it shows what the bird likes to do.

Nice... position of the as said a bit central and I think a slight lift in levels, the angle of view is OK for me, that is how I am used to seeing Shrikes anyway....

slight change in crop and magnification, I shouldn't try and post at 6.30 am before going to work! re-work does seem better if a bit noisier
