Red squirrel
Recently I was on a short holiday in Germany, where this little fella came by nearly every morning. They're just adorable little animals.
Nikon D80 @ 420 mm, iso 320, F 5.6, 1/1000 sec. (taken from a first floor window on a bean bag).

Nice, its kind of a shame that the ear tufts are lost in a dark area in the BG. Looks plenty sharp too.

Yes nice shot. You could maybe brighten the ears up a bit - it might be a heck of a job lightening the background. No big deal though.
Very good.

I like it as it is, a very different shot of a Red and it works well for me. Does look as though he/she is about to make a swift exit stage right though..

Terrific shot Sandra. Like these animals but until now I did not managed to get one in front of my camera.

Just looked at this again Sandra. I think it's one of the most pleasing shots of a red that I,ve seen.
Cheers

That is absolutely beautiful Sandra!

Really lovely.

What exact lens did you use for this if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you all for your positive and constructive comments and John for your big compliment.
@ Iain: Of course I don't mind at all. I used a Sigma 300 mm f 2.8 with a 1.4 convertor.
