Lemon Drops
This is one from the Tulip Festival in Holland, MI. An early morning shower cleared and the overcast skies and water droplets on the flowers made for very nice shooting conditions. The yellows here are a bit overpowering, but reminded me of lemon drops. Thanks for looking, c&c welcome.

It's a great image. Water drops always add some snap IMO. I also like how you did not crop out the area below the flowers/bulbs. It gives the photo depth and location. Only crit I have is the sharpness of your foreground stem is muted by the next stem behind it. Tough to see in the viewfinder and down low... You might be able to select the stem, invert and then photoshop away the stem behind?

Interesting shot. The water drops help make it an excellent shot. What kind of lens did you use for this one?

I gotta know...what's the LED light used for?

Really, really nice work, Brian. The water droplets are great, of course, but so's your POV and use of narrow depth of field.

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate your input. Jon, I use a 'surefire' LED flashlight on some macro shots to put light on the subject, just as you would use flash. It can add drama and interest, and in this case, I wanted to make the raindrops pop, so I tried the flashlight from a variety of angles on a variety of shots.

Brian, a lovely image indeed. The raindrops on the petals add a nice touch. The main stem in the FG is just a hair bothersome to me with what looks like a halo of some kind on the left side, it is probably another stem right behind! Not a deal breaker though. :toast:
