This is my first post, although I have enjoyed reading this forum for about a year now. I am a long time resident of Little Rock. I have had the privilege of attending several of Tim Ernst’s slide shows and am amazed and inspired by his work, as well as by the work of others on this site.

Years ago I purchased a 4x5 camera and set up a small (and very inadequate) home darkroom. The large format camera helped me to slow down and pay more attention to composition. The transition to digital has been a lot of fun. Although my equipment is still very limited, I have learned that composition and technique are far more important than equipment.

This shot is a several second exposure taken along Cedar Creek Trail, at Petit Jean State Park.

Very nice Larry...excellent image. It is always neat to see how just a little bit of moving water can have such a large impact on an image,.

Welcome Larry, glad to have you aboard. A very appealing first post. I really appreciate the silky smooth flow of the water in contrast to the razor sharp details in the rock & moss. I'm looking forward to seeing many more!
