New Kid on the Block
Hi Guys

I am a wildlife photographer based in Scarborough, UK and have just joined nature photographers.net. I have only been taking photos now for just over 2 years and I am looking always to step up to that next level so please let me know what you think of my images and style of photography.

Really didn't know what to put on as my first submit, but just took this Garganey image yesterday so let me know what you think.

Steve - I like this a lot. The detail in the bird is excellent, as is the pose. Maybe a little tight in the frame, but that's down to personal preference. Welcome to the forum - look forward to seeing more.

Nice image and welcome to the forum.

The shot looks fine, it maybe a little large in the frame and close to the edge/looking out of frame. no tech details but looks sharp and the colour seems ok, though the greens maybe a little yellow? (hard to tell on my TV).

Hi Steve, Nice picture. The only thing I can think of is a little cropping from the bottom. But that's personal.

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the forum. Great detail and a bit tight in the frame would be my summary. Perhaps in landscape you would have reduced the amount of out of focus grass in the foreground and given the subject a bit of space to look into on the RHS.

Looking forward to more.

Hi Steve - welcome to UKNP and a beautiful bird you've started with: nits covered but as has been said a stunning specimen.

Know your town well from when the in-laws were with us as they lived in Scalby - if as and when I make it to Bempton this year I'll certainly look you up.

Nice stuff on your website too so keep posting here!
