I know Matt recently had a great shot of the same falls, but Karla and I happen to be in the area this last weekend. When I shoot waterfalls, I like to back away from the falls as far as framing will allow and not get cluttered.
This shot only cost me one twisted ankle. Two weeks in a row. I need to slow down and be more careful.

And you can't pass on the downstream waterfall. I chose the shot looking down on the falls. It had some plants hanging onto the ledge that I wanted include in my framing. I managed to get it without pulling out the fisheye ot falling over the edge.
that is still a good amount of water. I had to much water in my shot really, everything was blowing around and it was a little muddy.
Nice shot. I have shot this from way back also. That little blown out sky area at the very top of the picture did catch my eye, you might try cropping it.
Mike, the first comp really puts the viewer in the environment and I like the way you composed the second image. Sure looks lush and slippery thereabouts!
