More of last night's colour
The clouds looked promising late afternoon, and didn't disappoint. The three all taken from old gravel pits here in Longmont.
Canon 5Dmkii, Canon 24-105L.

#2 is really SWEET. Nice job.

Well done Nick.

#2 looks the strongest to me as well. The only thing lacking was a call to your ol' shooting pal inviting him to tag along. :frown:

Nick where are you going in Longmont to get these shots? Great Images, I like #2 & #3 best. I know it is a local gravel pit but I don't know which one has such great views of Longs peak without a ton of houses/trash in the way. Being in Loveland it would be a nice trek sometime.

Those are some tremendous skies in these shots. Add another fan of #2!

Jim,

Looks like Golden Ponds to me. Probably shot across the middle pond.

#2 is my favorite of the trio. The color and comp are dynamite!

Wow, no kidding, that 2d shot is just killer!

2 and 3 are pretty sweet, Nick. It's hard to beat a sky like that!

I am casting 2 votes. For 2 and 3. #2 is phenomenal, and #3 is so excellent for the color and the clouds reaching all the way over your head. I like that you kept the shadows dark.

Nick, 3 great images with wonderful colours. I think #2 shades it but there is something that keeps pulling me back to look at #1 again - maybe because I prefer the landscape format. Cliff

Wow, nick, those are great. I really like # 2.

Awesome shots - another vote for #2, but they are all great. #1 doesn't have the sunset punch but I really like late evenining / pre sunset shots like this one.
