A Panorama and a pair of knuckleheads

Knucklehead #1 - this guy was with a college-age group. He kept inching closer to the edge and looking over for the attention of the girls. I hope he got a date for his efforts!

Knucklehead #2 - a self-portrait while mountain biking on the Amasa Back trail. I've wanted to make this image for years and a G10 was the right piece of gear.

Beautiful pano....bet that rocks when printed big! I'm also thankful that you didn't show any more leg than you did in #3!!

Knucklehead #1: It's easy to lose one's balance when looking through a camera (you can't see your feet). Being so close to the edge is less than intelligent. Chicks don't dig dead guys.

Knucklehead #2: Cool shot, but are those unshaven cycling legs I see?

#1 is a very nice Pano, Dead Horse Sp is such a cool place!.

I like the pano shot. I have always tried to squeeze as much of that view into a single wide angle shot. Next time I'll have to try a pano of several shots as I really dig the perspective of this shot. :toast:

Oh really???

Nice images, I like the DHP pano -- I bet it has tons of detail. I expected the leg to be a little more tan though

Knucklehead #1: Even if that guy got a date out of it he probably wouldn't be able to make the most of it. You gotta figure being that close to the edge his macadamias would take a few days to return to their normal position.

Knucklehead #2: Not much of a knucklehead - especially if the hand that isn't holding the cable release is holding an icy cold longneck.

Also, that must be an old picture of Todd because I'm pretty sure he doesn't look much like that these days.

I probably qualify for membership in the Knucklehead #1 Club. I spend a fair amount of time perched on precipices, fiddling with the tripod. There usually aren't any chicks for miles, though, unless my wife's along. I'm pretty sure my perching skills were not her main reason for marrying me.

Lovely pano, Dave - the light is subtle, and oh so nice.

I might suggest a small crop from the bottom on #3.

I really like the first pano. The socks in #3 really make the shot for me

Nothing's sexier then a knucklehead willing to kill himself for a shot

I do love the pano! I hope you were at a safe distance when you captured that one

Cool pano Dave! Looks like fun.

Sometimes people scare me. Both people shots have done that for me.
The pano shot is cool. I wish you could have had better skies, and the bright rock at the bottom is distracting.

Great pano Dave...gives one a good representation of almost being there. As for KH#1...I think I'm more scared for the tripod...as for being impressed...whatever... :)

i hope he got more than a date

Nice work on the pano! The behavior in the second shot is just plain stupid. It just proves that it's not survival of the fittest, but survival of the least stupid. The third image is nice and I figure that were all lucky that its only your feet and not your face in the shot. :jump:

Dave, love the pano - works well. I made my first visit there last month but needed more time to get off the beaten track - maybe next trip. Agree with the other comments about the stupidity of #2 but couldn't possibly comment about the feet! Cliff
