Yellow Rose
This is one of the roses my wife received from our boys for Mother's Day. I shot in natural light and did minor adjustments in Lightroom.

50D, 1/200 @ 2.8, 17-35 @ 35, ISO 400

Thanks for looking

Hey, aren't these Mizzou colors?

For some reason I really like the comp. It almost looks like you're looking straight down on top of a dancer with a big, colorful swirling skirt. You did a nice job with a beautiful specimen.

Yes Angela, Those do represent the MIZZOU colors of black & gold. GO TIGERS !!!!!

Thanks for your comments on my shot. I shot it hand held in our breakfast room with the natural morning light. I too liked the conformation and the way the leaves swirled out from the body of the rose.
