I’ve been getting quite a few Bluebird photos in the past few weeks. This one was taken in my backyard. I setup my turkey blind near the birdhouse and have been going out early in the morning and shooting. There are a few more Bluebird photos on my website
.
I also found a nesting pair along the Red Cedar Trail
. I hiked out to their nest several mornings and they let me get relatively close to the nest. The female didn’t seem to have a problem with my presence but the mail was a little shy.
I like the perch, pose and BG a lot here, Phil. I really like the side/morning light in the scene as well. I agree with Mitch that it appears just a tad soft at this size. You might want to sharpen where you can, because it is really close to being spot on. I would also consider a slight crop from the top, to emphasize the bird.
I need to get me one of those blinds, as it looks like you were able to get quite close. Well done!
Very nice indeed. The perch, BG, & pose come together nicely. It does appear soft but a little extra time in PS may take care of that. I'd keep working the area since she appears to have accepted your presence. May see some chicks soon.
