A Once Palouse Barn
Called on my accounts in Eastern WA this week so took the long way thru the Palouse, was disappointed nothing is really popping at all lots of empty brown fields and just starter crops looks like at least another 45 days or so. Anyways found this at one time Barn, CC suggestions appreciated.
Thanks for looking

Some of my favorite barns over the years have fallen due to the heavy winter snows in the Palouse. At least I have the memories. I like the slant of the hill matching the slant of the barn, and the square of the wagon in contrast with the triangle of the fallen barn. My only suggestion for next time is to get a bit higher or lower to have the point of the barn fall below or break the horizon line.

Alas...

Gotta love the barn/wagon combination, there. Probably just me, but this image is playing havoc with my sense of scale... And the sky is pretty flat; I guess I'd probably leave a sky like this out of the comp if circumstances permitted. Or I'd try to shoot it so it could be cropped out in post-processing later. Anyway, the scene is quite poignant and a nice find.

The barn and wagon are great, maybe include a little more of the surroundings? :)
