Feedback on this bison image...
I don't usually like images of grazing animals while grazing because they seem too static. However, there were some things I liked about this so would like some reaction. This is full frame and represents capture nx2 processing, mostly in selective tweaks to levels, curves, contrast and sharpness. D200 with the 70-200...

Thanks for honest reactions!

Ahh . . . Bison bison, once the king of the prairies! A noble beast and you captured this one shedding its great winter coat. Image is well done: balanced, colors very natural and everything just feels right. Obviously shot early morning with lingering mist in the air. Only things missing are the prairie dogs!

The Dr. has described the image positives very well..I agree with them all..
Head-up and turned towards you would be better perhaps..But the big guys gotta eat!

I like the way the bison pops, really makes it work. It's a keeper.

great detail where it counts, I like the soft background, and the bison looks relaxed and natural, well done Lon

I agree with most of the above, I like the way the bison stands out from the background. You have done everything you could with this sort of image.
