Honeycomb
This Anasazi granary is located a few miles southeast of Monticello, Utah right next to a (gravel) road. Does my heart good to see ruins as well built as this one left undisturbed.

Cool shot. I like the colors and the red glow.

Excellent capture of a very interesting ruin. I'm also glad it has been left undisturbed, it's really unique.

I really like this too... very well composed and reveals the subject in great light. I especially like the yin/yang of the opposing arcs.

I've seen (and made) lots of photos of anasazi granaries, and this one really shines... :toast:

That's a honey (comb) of a shot! That ceiling really makes this very unique. My only minor nit is that I wouldn't have cut it off on the left hand side like you did. Otherwise, very well done.

Hey John:

Thanks for the tip. I hope my shots come out as nicely as yours did! Because nobody went tumbling down the cliff, it ended up being a real comedy with two of us in that small space, in the rain, and trying fine solid places to put our tripod legs.

Also, I thought you said it was "3" miles along the dirt road, not the "23" it turned out to be. Doh! But well worth it nonetheless.

Great shot and thanks again,

CAZ

Oooppsss.....
Sorry about that, CAZ!
Did you find the 'perfect kiva' up ahead?

It was a real pleasure seeing you again in Moab!
Hope the rest of your journey is dry with the best light!!

Sweet shot John!
That would've been a nice one to try on my recent trip out that way. It goes on the list for the next time!

That's a gorgeous capture of a beautiful ruin site. The honeycomb rocks really make this shine.

Nice capture, John. I considered visiting this site on my last trip to the area. I love that ceiling.
