Eastern Meadowlark
One of the first posts on this forum three years ago almost was one of these species. Early March and we encountered sub zero days and nights. A total delight for me would be finding a Meadowlark brilliant colour and a superb song.

I wanted to show its colour against the gray skyline and ice covered ground. May well be too tight in the frame for some.

1D3 Canon 800mm hand held through car window on bean bag shivering icicles from the nose. Worth every bit of discomfort.

RAW to lightroom PS4 to resize.

Critique Advice Comments most welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Hi, I like the littel oldfashioned look created with the white and grey and as point of attention the very colorful bird. It reminds me of old pictures which get some color afterwards. Nicely done.

This is a beautiful bird you have captured here Barry.
Fascinating how many different birds are out there.

Hi Barry

Yes a little big in the frame also for a change a higher POV would have been good to show the ice covered ground which isn't really apparent in this image!
