Back out in Sweden for Wild Wonders - this time chasing boreal owls and beavers. Working with a male great grey owl which hunts two forest clearings and allows a reasonably close approach. This morning just after dawn, the female slipped off the nearby nest to bathe so I positioned myself for her (wet)return flight. Didn't quite nail what I had in mind but after 5 days this was the first flight shot in half-decent light. More to follow...perhaps!
Nicely done there Peter. A great opportunity and very well executed. I'd like to have an encounter with one of these one day.. They always look great no matter what state they're in.. Did you get any having a bath..?
