Sorry I have been a bit quiet of late, life intervened; so I would just like to thank Mike Smith for all his hard work setting up and organising the Gigrin trip.
This rook wasn't interested in Chris's best beef, he wanted to chisel away at the hard ground for goodness only knows what. He wasn't the only one missing out on the main course, all my kite shots were distinctly average, so I end up at Gigrin and the best I can do is a rook!

If I'd had time I would have lowered the iso and settled for a slower speed but I was trying for the kites at the time and spotted this fellow doing something a little different. By the time I had got two of these and stopped to change settings, he had got what he was after.
Ah Eric I was looking forward to your kite shots. Never mind I've been known to photograph the rooks, buzzards and other attractions of Gigrin (that does not include Chris and his tractor - even though I have shots) - no rules to say you can only shoot the kites
What an interesting behaviour shot and well seen and captured. You have to make the best out of a day no matter what is offered up.. You've done that..
