Providence Canyon State Park, GA
A quick day trip to a Canyon outside of Lumpkin, GA. Over 1000 ac with trails and canyons up to 150 ft deep. Where the Grand Canyon is rock, this was all sand. Got a few pictures between rain storms. I plan to go back sometimes between July and August to see the Azaleas bloom on the Canyon floor. Check out Georgia State park site for more details. Just missed the photo contest that ended on 5/23.

Very colorful sides of the Canyon. Was worth the trip.

This is one place I've been planning to visit. I did not know about the azaleas though. Sounds like July to August would be a good time to aim for.
