Had a really nice day yesterday in the company of some good friends (PhilH, Tony Flashman & Fran French) we spent the morning trying to find and photograph emerging dragons and damsels and between us we all found something in different stages including this one found by Phil..
Anyway, we all came away with something from the day and this was one of my attempts.
The day was finished with a BBQ and good food.. My kind of photography..!
Kind regards,
Brett

Some might think the light is great, but for me it's a tad too harsh - flagging the shot with your hand might well have only knocked a stop and a bit off the overall EV but it would have softened the light and got rid of those hard shadows under the exuvia. - ONLY MY OPINION MIND YOU
At least I found it.... before Mr Brett (eagle eyes) Lewis (makes a change as I seem as blind as a bat these days)
A super day and some super results including this one, Andy I was there and flagging the subject probably would not have worked in this situation as the bg which was quite distant would have become a little bright and overpowering, I did get some though in softer light when a rare cloud came covered the harsh sun...
I'm still recovering from the BBQ too much food.....
