One from this morning, light was just about perfect, soft yet enough for a good shutter speed.

Had a quiet hour or so watching this bird busily feeding young before the hoardes arrived and so decided it was time to get on with other jobs.

Left the composition as taken, have cropped a few others to a square format, but thought I would upload with some room for the noise to travel in to

I really like this one Cheryl - great pose and complimentary colours. Maybe it could take some slight brightening - the white throat could be whiter whithout 'blowing' it. Could just be me though!

Nice one Cheryl

Tell me about it. Theres only one way - find a land owner /farmer, get permission and do it yourself. Its the ony way . Bird photography is becoming a joke !!
Cheers

Yeah this looks pretty nice. I find that hardly anyone is out between 4 and 10 in the morning. Ideal times for driving taking photo for about 3-4 hours, sleeping for 2 hours before driving home again....

I love WT's on their "shouty perches" - nice capture Cheryl :toast:

Comp suggestion - little canvass off the right and add same to the left - make a nice DPS editorial shot.

Nice image :wavey:

Lovely image of a lovely bird. I had never seen these until fairly recently. I think square would work well too.
