Sorry I haven't been around much recently, I've been fairly busy with uni finals etc and haven't been out with the camera much. I have been trying for my local foxes for the last few days after finding loads of pheasant carcasses in the fields behind our house, and I was glad to get a look at this guy and his lady friend last night. I just managed to get this one frame and I thought I'd post it as it's my first fox!
I'm a bit torn about the background - it's a bit busy, but nothing's sharp enough for it to really work as an 'enviro'. I would love to hear your thoughts
techs: 420mm, 1/50th, f4, iso 400
a bit of selective sharpening and a selective bump in contrast
Thanks Paul - I agree with you on that one! I was actually facing the other way, when I heard a noise behind me and so this was a bit of a grab shot whilst turning round, I didn't really have time to compose. I'm going to try again tonight so fingers crossed
quite the busy image you have here. This is an almost shot for me, I quite like the look the fox is giving you and his positioning in the frame, but the mush and the busy bg are just a little too much for me sadly.
