What should have been a two hour hike turned into a four hour hike. Ice storm damage was everywhere. Blocking the road towards the falls and then several trees were down across the creek. Not to mention the rain that of course started up just as I reached the falls. Patience was the word for the day.

Thanks for making the effort. Lovely waterfall.

Karla and I had the same problem at Alum Cove this morning. Ice damage on the trail is untouched. Rain held off until we were about half way up from the creek to the natural bridge. We had rain gear luckily.

Adkins looks good. I need to add it to my list. I'd say it was worth your effort! Of course, hiding out in your cabin on a rainy day would rival waterfall hunting on a rainy day!
