I get antsy when I'm stuck at home and here is another one I found from last fall. Not really sure where this was shot. I like the comp of this one better then my last post and I think the exposure was a little easier to deal with. I cropped a little on the right, punched up the curve, contrast and a little bit of saturation.
This might be the western part of the Kebler Pass road, but i would second Jody's guess that this is somewhere around Crested Butte. I like it. Dramatic storm clouds and fall foliage combined with the road and fence make this a wonderful 'man & nature' shot.
Thanks everyone. I think you are all about correct on the location. I had to go through my files and try to remember where I was and when. And Kebler Pass is as close as I can narrow it down.
This picture was taken coming down Kebler Pass toward Paonia. It is taken at the ranch

Aleks, I think this is really gorgeous... I wouldn't change a thing. It's got a great combination of tone and color contrasts, and what's most striking to me is the contrast between the fractal textures and the wonky, man-made angles.
I can almost see a "ghost" of a horse standing in that empty spot in the middle.... normally a spot like that in a comp would be a deal-breaker but in this case it really creates a lot of drama.

Nicely seen, captured and processed.
