Puffin
Hello

I watched this little fella for about an hour - he would not come out into the open and I almost gave up of getting the shot, but then he stuck his head out from behind the grassy mound and looked around in my direction for a second, and then popped back in behind the mound.

Taken on Bempton cliffs last week.

Techs

D3 + 300-800 on Gitzo
1/800 sec @ 5.6 ISO 560

cheers
for looking

Great colours Colin, but I think there's a tad too much 'mush' for my taste. Why can't our subjects cooperate all the time?

Hi,
I would crop a bit more from the soft foreground.
Just a personal taste.
it was worth not giving up so fast.

Nice shot, Colin. I agree about cropping the soft foreground, though. It is a little bit too much.
