Primrose & Spirea
This image was made on Memorial Day morning and is an intimate floral extraction from my rock garden. I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with family and friends.

Lovely shot. Great colors. I have been a fan of Evening Primrose since I took a taxonomy course in Spring 1973. Lots of them grow along the roadside in OK and Texas.

Great balance Wayne.
Is that a butterfly I see under the lower right blossom?

Thanks everyone, your kind words are appreciated.

Ed, this was shot in diffuse natural morning light (thin cloud covering sun). I did not use a reflector or fill flash.

Rod, I'll have to zoom in and look closer tonight. To the best of my knowledge I don't recall seeing any butterflies etc. during my time shooting that morning.

Thanks again everyone. :wavey:
